The Music Curriculum at St Mary's

At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School we strive to give our pupils opportunities that will enable them to be happy, healthy and successful in the wider world.  

It is our intent that we make music an enjoyable learning experience and that our children are enthused and engaged in the wide variety of music activities.  Our aim is to provide a music curriculum which will enable each child to reach their full potential in music and encourage children to enjoy singing, composing and performing. Through our Music Curriculum offer our children learn to work both independently and as part of a group, ensuring skills of resilience and teamwork are promoted in this subject. 

We follow the Sing Up Music Programme to deliver our music offer across the school.
