  • DT bag making

    Thu 19 Mar 2026 S. Cook

Year 3 had a wonderful day creating their own bags. Building up to the day they had analysed products, thinking carefully about the pros and cons. They designed their own bags and made paper prototypes which they then used as a template. It was a busy and fun day working together to cut fabric, sew on details and pockets and add special features like buttons and handles, but we are all very proud of our efforts. Many thanks to all the adults who helped support us on our day.

  • Year 2 visit to the post office and the fire station

    Fri 13 Mar 2026 S. Cook

Year 2 had an exciting and educational trip to the local post office and fire station last week. At the post office, the children learned how letters and parcels are sorted and delivered to different places. They discovered the importance of stamps and addresses and talked about how postal workers help people to communicate with each other.

At the fire station, the firefighters showed the children the fire engine and explained how they respond to different emergencies. The children learned about fire safety, the special equipment firefighters use, and how they help keep the community safe. They also had the opportunity to sit in the fire engine and spray the fire hose!

The trip was both fun and informative. The children asked many questions, showed great curiosity, and had a wonderful time learning about important community services.

  • World Book Day

    Thu 05 Mar 2026 S. Cook

Today we had a wonderful time celebrating our love of reading by dressing up as our favourite book characters. Many children took inspiration from this year’s key text, Alice in Wonderland, and it was fantastic to see such a wide range of creative and imaginative costumes across the school.

The children were very excited to share and talk about the characters who inspire them, making it a lovely opportunity to celebrate books and storytelling together.

A big thank you to all our parents and carers for your continued support in helping the children look so fantastic and for making the day so special.

  • Internet Safety Week

    Fri 13 Feb 2026 S. Cook

This week, our school has been celebrating Internet Safety! Students in all years learnt how to stay safe, smart, and be kind online. Through fun activities, class discussions, and interactive games, children explored topics such as creating strong passwords, protecting personal information, and being respectful digital citizens. We also talked about what to do if something online makes them feel uncomfortable or unsure. Our goal is to empower every student to use technology confidently and responsibly.

We encourage families to continue these important conversations at home and support safe online habits every day.
