The Vikings!

This term we shall be continuing our journey looking at the history of Britain.  We will be learning about the invasion of the Vikings and how they changed Britain for ever.  We shall be comparing how life changed for the people living and making judgements as to who got the best deal - the rich or the poor. 

We shall be learning about Viking longships and during art creating our own versions using clay.

To support this topic we are going to be reading Beowulf to inspire writing our own imaginative stories about monsters, danger and heroes!

Our Science this term is learning about States of Matter and how materials change from being solid, liquid and gases.  Part of this learning will be to understand the water cycle.  To support this we will be taking a trip to Flow Zone to learn how the water we drink gets from a reservoir to our homes.
