In English we will be using the book: The Firework’s Daughter as our stimulus to write narrative stories.  At key points, the children will watch mini video clips from popular children’s films to generate a rich array of vocabulary. 

In maths, students will cover the following: negative numbers (first 2 weeks) and the remainder of the term is dedicated to mastering short multiplication and short division.

Our art lessons will focus on sketching and water colour painting of panoramic landscapes.

Our geography topic on ‘Rivers’ will enable students to learn about the location of rivers, their importance in the past and now for communities, as well as their creation and key components.

In music, the children will be working on their song writing techniques, an opportunity for them to think creatively and enjoy each other’s songs.

Our science lessons will continue with ‘Living things and their Habitats’ before commencing the new topic, ‘Properties and Changes in Materials.’
