Year 3 2019/2020

We had a very busy and exciting term learning about ourselves!  We learnt about the purpose of our skeleton and how we need muscles and joints to move.  We even know some of the scientific names for our bones.  During Science Week we also learnt about Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian man and investigated whether our measurements compared.

Next Term, we will be learning about the Romans, volcanoes and rocks.  Our trip to the Chislehurst Caves will give the children the opportunity to see first hand different rocks.  In English we will be writing an historical story about Pompeii and a newspaper report about Boudicca and her stand against the Romans.
