Year 3 - Wakehurst Scientists
We had a fabulous day at Wakehurst today! The children enjoyed an exciting hands-on learning experience, using microscopes to explore the different parts of plants up close. They also dissected flowers and discovered more about the role and function of each part.
As part of the day, the children created beautiful artwork using natural materials to help explain the pollination process. After lunch, they headed out on a nature walk where they identified a variety of plants and spotted different pollinators in their habitats.
A huge thank you to all the parents who accompanied us — your help made the trip possible and is greatly appreciated.
