  • Visit by Olympic Gold medal winner—Emily Craig

    Fri 27 Sep 2024

We were delighted to welcome Emily Craig, one of GB’s Olympic gold medal rowers into our

school today. Emily joined us in Assembly this morning and then kindly went to each class to

let the children hold her gold medal and answer their questions. Our children were so excited

to meet her and hear about her Olympics experience — they were all very inspired.

A big thank you to Mrs Dowling who organised this visit for us.

  • 'Prayer Bear' Assembly

    Thu 19 Sep 2024

On Wednesday we welcomed seven new members of our school community - the St. Mary's Prayer Bears! We have been speaking with the children about the importance of prayer time in our lives and how prayer can strengthen our relationship with God.

Prayer can take many forms including meditation, singing, dancing, reciting traditional prayers and spontaneous prayer throughout the day. Each class was presented with a St. Mary's prayer bear during our assembly. Our bears will help us to think about our spirituality and teach us about different forms of prayer.
