Today Molly received our 'Michael Stevens Award' for:

She is also supportive to everyone - showing sensitivity to the needs of others, readily and proactively offering her help. Molly is someone who embodies the ethos at St Mary’s and her kindness and compassion shines through.'

    Well done Molly.

  • Fossils

    Fri 20 Dec 2024

This week, Year 3 have been finding out how fossils are formed.  They used their reading and sequencing skills to order the different stages of the process and then watched a video to check their ideas.  After collaborating with others, they made some rearrangements if necessary and then recoded the process on a zig zag book to show how long it takes!  Great ideas and fabulous presentation, well done Year 3!

  • Our whole school trip to the Pantomime

    Tue 17 Dec 2024

Today the whole school went to the Pantomime at Tunbridge Wells to see a performance of 'Aladdin'. It was a fantastic show which we all enjoyed and even included a star performance by our very own Assistant Headteacher - Mr Neill. A big thank you to the Friends of St Mary's for raising the funds for our whole school to attend this special annual event. We are truly grateful to all our families and community for all you do to support the Friends of St Mary's events which in turn allows the school to do amazing things such as this!

  • Girls Team Football Match - St Mary's versus Henry Fermor

    Fri 13 Dec 2024

The Y5/6 girls hosted their first match in the Crowborough Schools football league and welcomed Sir Henry Fermor to 'The St. Mary's Arena.' The sun was setting and the crowd was plentiful and the girls started very confidently. We soon opened up a 3-goal lead and things were looking bright. Fermor never gave up though and pulled a couple of goals back before we scored two more excellent goals.
A fantastic team performance, with such progression from the Wadhurst tournament, capped off with 2 goals each for Lucy and Molly and one for Isabel. Well done to the whole team.

  • Bread - Year 3

    Fri 13 Dec 2024

This week, Year 3 have designed and then made their own bread.  They had to read and follow the instructions carefully, and weigh the ingredients accurately. They had lots of fun selecting and adding their own ingredients, and then the most exciting part - tasting it!  Many thanks to Mrs. Brand and Ms. Hopley who helped us in the morning, and for our wonderful cooks for helping us use the ovens.  I hope some of the bread made it home so that you got to taste some too!

  • Thank you!
