  • Step Right Up for Circus Day Fun! 🎪

    Fri 17 Apr 2026 S. Cook

Year 2 and Year 3 recently swapped their classrooms for the excitement of the big top as they enjoyed a fantastic Circus Day—made possible thanks to their cake sale fundraising!

The children had an unforgettable time learning a range of impressive circus skills with the wonderful Mr. Phil. From juggling colourful scarves and balancing feathers, to carefully making their way along the tightrope, everyone embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and plenty of laughter. The spectacular flower sticks were a big hit, and for the truly brave, there was even the chance to try walking on stilts!

Back in the classroom, the fun continued with a variety of circus-themed games and activities, bringing all the joy, energy and silliness of a real circus to school.

It was a truly special day filled with smiles, teamwork and new experiences. A huge thank you for your continued support—thanks to the cake sale, we were delighted to provide this memorable opportunity for the children!

  • St. Mary's Alumni

    Fri 17 Apr 2026 S. Cook

We were delighted to welcome back last year’s Year 6, who kindly donated a tree to St. Mary’s. The apple tree symbolises the flourishing and nurture of our pupils, and with continued care and growth, we hope to enjoy some delicious fruit in the years ahead.

It was lovely to see so many returning students and hear of your Secondary school adventures.

  • Magnificent Musicians Perfectly Perform in Year 5

    Fri 17 Apr 2026 S.Cook

Indigo class ended the term on a high with a fantastic music sharing session. We were treated to performances from talented pianists, drummers, guitarists, singers and even a rapper, with music spanning classical, rock, funk, rap and Irish folk. It was wonderful to see so many children confidently taking part and showing such enthusiasm for performing. I hope this is something we can enjoy again later in the year.

  • Extraordinary Egg Discovered in Year 2

    Fri 17 Apr 2026 S.Cook

In Year 2, the children discovered a mysterious large egg in the classroom along with a strange note asking them to take care of it. Excited and curious, they worked together to protect and observe the egg, recording their ideas and predictions of what might be growing inside it. After a few days, the children arrived at school to find the egg had hatched! Tiny, dragon-like footprints were scattered across the floor, leading to much excitement and imaginative storytelling. The children eagerly wrote instructions on how to care for the dragon and how to teach it to fly. Now, they are carefully searching the school, keeping their eyes peeled for any sign of their magical new friend.
