Young Voices Concert at the O2 in London
Mon 15 Jan 2024Some of our Year 5 & 6 pupils participated in the the Young Voices on Monday.
Our pupils joined over 5000 other children to perform as a single choir at the O2 Arena in London alongside amazing artists.
The children left our school by coach in the morning for rehearsal time at the O2. Many parents and family members came to the O2 in the evening for the concert. The children and parents alike have said what an incredible experience it was for them. The concert is the culmination of a lot of hard work from the children and staff for the event.
We are very thankful to Miss Morley and all the staff that helped with rehearsals and supervising the trip to London. We are also grateful for the parents' support, that has helped make this unforgettable experience possible for the children possible.

Year 3 Magnets and Forces Science Topic
Fri 05 Jan 2024This week, we have launched our new science topic 'Magnets and Forces' by making games which work using magnets. The children had lots of fun creating their own fishing games or designing maze games with magnetic pieces. We also had a rather interesting football game with prehistoric animals as players! It proved a wonderful opportunity to develop our collaboration and cooperation skills, testing out ideas and refining our work to improve it. We are looking forward to completing them and playing them next week.

Forest School with Year 3 this week
Fri 05 Jan 2024Year 3 are having a fantastic time at Forest School. This week they explored the nature areas, worked together to build dens, mud painted, and had the opportunity to hammer nails into wood, and use the saws and drills. Then they shared their best bits around the fire circle with a mug of hot chocolate!
Please remember on forest school days that a large bag to put muddy, wet items into is advisable, as is a change of footwear and dry socks so that your child has something comfortable to put on if they get a little soggy! Water proofs and/or a change of trousers are also essential.
