  • Gardening Club

    This mild but rather wet weather has been perfect for our veggie plot.

    Our budding gardeners have a vast array of vegetables and herbs growing.

    This year we planted our broad beans seeds we had stored and dried from last years crop and took runners from last years strawberry plants it has been so exciting to experience the cycle of self sufficiency.

    The broad beans are now huge and strawberries are ripening nicely.

    We can't wait to see what pops up next ! 

  • D Day 80th anniversary KS2 Assembly

    This week was the 80th anniversary of the D Day landings and on Thursday Mr Neill led an assembly for our children in KS2 where the children were able to reflect on the service and experiences of those who were involved in this significant historical event. Thank you to Mr O’Keeffe for providing some WW2 era artefacts for the children to explore.

     

  • Year 3 Athletics

    Year 3 kick started their athletics unit in PE with some distance running to build up their stamina.  We then learnt all about the correct javelin technique with a throwing line and a safety line, before we started learning to measure our distances correctly.  We finished with some sprint heats - thinking about a straight head and pumping arms for some extra power!  Thank you Mr. Pappa for another fun filled, active hour!

  • Tri golf

    On Thursday afternoon, five girls and five boys attend the tri golf afternoon hosted by Beacon.  Their sports leaders set up various different events for the children to try, practising their chipping, putting and accuracy.  Fun was had by all - we are currently awaiting the final results...
