Prayer can take many forms including meditation, singing, dancing, reciting traditional prayers and spontaneous prayer throughout the day. • St Mary's Awarded School Games Gold Mark Award!

    Tue 23 Jul 2024

We are delighted to announce that we, St. Mary's Catholic Primary School, have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

With an increasing number of our children competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

We look forward to applying once again in 2025!

  • Changes in Nature Project Update

    Thu 18 Jul 2024

Last term Crowborough schools were invited by Green Transition Crowborough to take part in a project called 'Changes in Nature'. We were asked to respond to the title in a creative way. Alongside our work about Pope Francis and his Laudato Si commitments to our planet, each class created leaves showing their positive actions for planet Earth.

Mrs Thorpe has now combined these leaves and other work to create a 'Tree Of All Seasons' which demonstrates our responsibilities to our planet.

We are excited that our Tree Of All Seasons will now be on display, at Crowborough Community Centre over the summer.
